History
Crête Plantations, is a family owned business, established in the Eastern Townships some 15 miles east of Sherbrooke in Québec, Canada. The company founded in 1964 consisted at that time of approximatly 75 acres of planted Balsam fir Christmas trees.
The second generation officially took over the operations in 1977. In the 80’s the company started producing wreaths and other natural evergreen decorations. This period also saw the addition of Fraser fir to the crop rotations and the company turned its operations toward the export market.
Then in 1998, the company launched a mail-order/Internet division named 4giftgiving.com, an early adopter of new technologies Crete plantations was one of the very first companies to offer Natural Christmas products through the new medium.
Today, the plantations cover more than 1200 acres with about a million trees growing at any time. Crete Plantations has grown to become renowned for its superior quality and the freshness of its products as well as its cordial and reliable customer service.
